Agrochema decreased errors using EDI in 6 months

Agrochema UAB is the Lithuanian market leader in liquid nitrogen fertilizers. Their need for EDI was caused by ever-increasing number of orders from customers. “Processing orders and issuing invoices manually is inefficient and causes errors,” says Darius Dambrauskas, Head of Trade Department.

Agrochema trades with the majority of Lithuanian farmers and sells its products in biggest retail chains in Lithuania and Latvia. The assortment is shipped to about 100 points of sale, resulting in ca 500 monthly invoices.

We interviewed the company’s Head of Trade Department Darius Dambrauskas. He comments: “The need for an EDI solution arose from administering a large number of orders. It is inefficient doing all this work manually and mistakes are inevitable. Although today it is still early to quantify all the benefits, we can say that since orders started to arrive through EDI, the number of errors has decreased significantly.”

Dambrauskas also commented on EDI operator selection process: “We knew that there were several EDI service providers on the market. During the selection phase, referrals from multiple companies made us choose Telema as the most reliable partner. And the implementation went really smoothly. We highly appreciate the competence of Telema IT Project Manager Juozas Andriuškevičius, together with Go-ERP UAB, our MS Dynamics Axapta support partner”.

“In the near future, we plan to expand our EDI network by also connecting to Ermitažas shops. I can recommend Telema as a really professional and reliable EDI partner to other companies as well,” summarizes Darius Dambrauskas.
