Bauwise and Telema Automate Construction Invoice Handling

Bauwise and Telema Automate Construction Invoice Handling

Integrated Solution for Smarter Cost Control

Telema AS, the leading EDI provider in the Baltics, and Bauwise Ltd, a trusted construction cost management software company, have teamed up to develop a joint solution that automates the handling of purchase invoices in the construction sector. The result of this collaboration is EHDI – Electronic Handling of Digital Invoices – an integrated tool that digitizes and streamlines invoice workflows from receipt to accounting.

The initiative was supported by Enterprise Estonia under its Real Time Economy (RTE) grant, which promotes the adoption of digital solutions that improve business efficiency and data interoperability.

EHDI combines Telema’s invoice automation solution eFlow with Bauwise’s real-time budget control, enabling construction companies to manage both project-related and general expenses in one seamless environment. The solution supports machine-readable invoices, real-time cost allocation, and automatic approval workflows.

“With EHDI, we’re solving a long-standing pain point: disconnected financial and project data,” says Ayrton Grossmann, eFlow Product Manager at Telema. “We’re giving users an automated, scalable, and secure process tailored for construction.”

“We’ve created a unified digital system that allows all expense documents to be managed in real time – from receiving e-invoices to allocating costs and approving them. This enables construction companies to consolidate their entire expense management process into one environment, increasing transparency and reducing manual effort,” adds Mikk Ilumaa, Founder of Bauwise.
