Brand new Linker and other newcomers

In the first half of 2016, Telema welcomed three new employees.
In January, KRISTAPS SOMS joined our Latvian team as a full time IT Project Manager. His main tasks include managing customer integration projects and offering technical consultation. Kristaps has a background in telecom sector, has been advising customers on technical solutions for 10 years and is now dedicated to offer our Latvian customers professional support.

LAUR MATHIESEN started as an Account Manager in our Tallinn office also in January. Laur has had a long customer relations career in financial sector, lately in SEB bank. At Telema he handles a portfolio of 200 clients.

In February, Telema created a unique position called Linker (it might be the first such job in the world!) and employed TANEL PRAAKLI, a clever logistics student of Tallinn University of Technology. The linker has a very important role finding and making the connections between potential EDI partners in Telema network. Tanel is very passionate about supply chain and being able to influence it.

A warm welcome to all new specialists!

Best of the best, educated and having fun

In the beginning of each year we elect the best colleague, newcomer of the year and employee of the year. The titles for 2015 were given to: EVA KIISA (best employee), KADRI LENK (best colleague), and ARMINAS ŽILAITIS (best newcomer).

In spring 2016, three Telema employees completed their studies at the Tallinn University of Technology. MATI MAASIK, our Sales Director, got his MA in Management and Marketing. KRISTEL KÄLLE, our Project Manager, finished her logistics bachelor studies cum laude. KSENIA VECHERININA, our Developer-Tester got her bachelor degree in Information Technology. Five Telema employees are enrolled on various levels at universities to raise their IT, logistics and business proficiency.

Team building at Telema happens via fun, sports and games. Shrove Tuesday on February 9, 2016 turned out to be a giddy eyewear party, as there was no snow for sledding. At the end of February, a group of colleagues went on a ski-trip to Sappee, Finland. In March all who participated at the Sales Meeting also took part at the traditional Telema Table Tennis Tournament. In June 2016, Product Managers tried their hand (many first time in life) in “regular” tennis and outdoor table tennis on Prangli island. This was the social part of their quarterly two-day seminar filled with hard work.
